Southern Hearing Care offers a range of custom ear moulds to improve sleep, assist swimmers by preventing water entering the ear canal, reduce noise exposure in the work-place or industrial setting, and attenuate certain sounds with musician specific filtered moulds.

Pricing will vary depending on the type of mould required.

The appointment for custom ear moulds will include a qualified audiologist assessing the health of the outer ear followed by taking an impression of the ear canal.

Custom ear moulds generally take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

What is micro-suction?
Micro-suction is a gentle, dry, and precise method of removing ear wax and debris from the ear canal. It’s considered the gold standard for wax removal because it is safe, comfortable, and highly effective. The procedure is quick and performed by an experienced audiologist.

How is micro-suction different from ear syringing?
Some GPs use ear syringing, which involves flushing the ear with pressurised water. This method isn’t always effective and can sometimes lead to infections and/or damage to the eardrum.
